- Place your shoes in a shoe mould between the uses. Shoe moulds will help your shoes to maintain their form.
- Use a soft cotton cloth in order to sweep the dust and pollutants from the shoes.
- Leave the shoes to dry in open air after each cleaning, care and polish, for better results and protection.
- Leathers, after they are cleaned and brushed they can be covered with a layer of oil from Vaseline or other skin preservatives.
- Place the shoes that you will polish and the all products that you will use on a lot of layers from newspapers before you begin, in order to avoid splashes and accidents.
- Shoe laces should always be removed from the shoes before the cleaning or polishing.
- Parasites can be removed from leather shoes with a mixture from equal quantity of water and pure alcohol. Put the mix in a cup and with the help of a sponge, cover the interior of the leather. Leave them dry in air. Then, you clean, care and polish as usual.
- Bad smell of shoes can be faced with cooking soda. Cover the interior of shoe with a small quantity of backing soda and leave it to act all the night. The other morning, you shake off the shoes in order to you remove the soda.
- Shoe soles made of cedar they can also be placed in leather shoes, in order to better control and fight problems arising from unpleasant odours.
- Clean leather shoes between the shines with a humid cloth.
- Drying of leather shoes does not only helps and deters destruction due to humidity, but also protects from scratches, marks, dust and filth.
